And does someone fancy making a little Server image thingy
What size should it be? I’m sure we could resize the XDC logo for it.

You should go for an initial month, put a lot of effort into playing on it, in order to fill it, then check how things are going before paying for the next month.
£35 a month seemed a bit much to me since I looked into this before, so double checked and I’m not sure where you’re getting that from.
The price is dependant mostly upon the number of slots, and the renewal period. If we take a 12 month lease on a 32 man server, you get the largest saving (20%), with the cost working out at £25.60 for branded.
6 month lease – £27.20
3 month – £28.80
1 month £32Debranding the server costs between 2 and 3 pound a month extra, depending on the renewal period (varying because of the percentage saving).
It costs just shy of a pound per month per slot on average, so one question to address would be what the ideal number of players is for a game (eg bf2 I always felt was better on 24 man servers than 32 or 64).
As for extra’s, it’s not possible to add a TS3 server into the bundle for free, but we could pick up a 32 slot mumble server for free with the 12 month leased server, with less slots for shorter leases.
If you’re still keen Turks, there’s still time for you to join in with this, although John’s not sounding too confident about taking part anymore either, but we’ll keep it going this week anyways to see how it goes. If anyone else wants to join in as well, there’s still space.

There’s four of us online atm on TS, but not sure whether we’ll get many games done since Bad Company seems to be getting in the way. Anyway Turks, if you’re about today jump on TS and we’ll see how it’s going 🙂
We’ll see how it goes Turks, tomorrow’s an ambitious target so don’t worry too much about it. It’ll only really happen if we’re all on at once, like last Sunday, and it’s only then that we’d consider dropping people. Don’t worry about being under practiced either, John for example hadn’t even played the game until last weekend, and the rest of us have played maybe a dozen skirmishes, of which we’ve lost half 🙂
I’m not sure how to take Turk’s comment about rarely being able to play, but I’ll assume from his posting that’s he’s in for now. Five people was a little ticky to work out a fixture list for, but maybe Saturday morning wasn’t the best time to do it 🙂 Anyway it works out as, 5 rounds, 5 maps, with 4 games and a bye for each player. I picked 5 maps which seem the most popular from the expert replays on gamereplays.org, and randomly drew names out for the matches below:

With excuses already posted I expect we’ll have to kick at least one, but if we do, it’s only to get this thing finished in order to move onto the 2v2’s 🙂 Because we have some byes, there’s also room for a latecomer to join in, so let me know today if you want the spot.
