heh we didn’t really do clanwars, just generally wound up people who called themselves jedi master, sith, padawans, etc, and worse (I tried out for Jesus’s Jedi’s once; they’d actually stand around in a circle before a game and type prayers). Those were the days :lol:.
We quickly moved onto the slightly more sane world of Rogue Spear.

Fuck knows what you call the first games we ever had, they were on some early console which got nicked when I was about 4 or 5 🙁 Something with tanks and submarines is all I can remember. Used to play paperboy a lot at my mates. Lemmings, and prince of persia I remember as well, though they might have been on our first pc around 89….actually I’m quite similar to you Kippo. First online game was team fortress, followed quickly by Jedi Knight 2, which was where XDC started. It was all downhill from there 😉
Livingston’s just out the other side of the airport from Edinburgh isn’t it? Should be easy enough to get a bus out there from the centre or haymarket, but I’ll let you know while I’m over.

Turns out this was something completely different altogether. As a hangover from years ago I still rebind all my keys to the arrow keys rather than wasd etc, and this includes weapons 1, 2 and 3 in tf2. It’s either with the game, or possbily just the beetles admin mod, but when the admin menu appears to ask you to press number one, what it’s actually asking for is the key you’ve assigned to weapon 1. I just have to remember the order my keys have been reassigned and can use all the admin options fine.

I’ve no issues with multiplay as I’ve always found any of my connection problems to be client side (except for ages ago in bfv or something). I’d ask them first what the problems might be.
After that I guess go with rackage if they’re cheaper, but we’ll also need a new website host.
The tf2 server doesn’t seem to have any issues, and that’s even with my crappy connection. What could be different apart from the game? And I’m assuming here that people have no problem on other COD4 servers?
