I saw this advertised on steam and thought it was minecraft rip off, and I’m avoiding it like the plague!
You get fighting in minecraft as well Doc btw, and it’s really quite atmospheric, especially when you’re miles away from your base and at the bottom of some cave system you’ve decided to explore; you’re running low on torches, it’s pitch black, and you hear a monster growling somewhere around you. There are very few games which have made me jump as many times as Minecraft.

Does the server still work? I let the lease lapse a couple of months ago, so unless it’s setup to charge me automatically, it shouldn’t be online.
Voo’s still on steam farily regularly, but not online as much since he changed jobs about 18 months ago. Pretty sure I saw him playing BC2 as well.
Alzir’s just bored atm, and doing other stuff.

At the risk of falling for a troll, what did you not like about this film? It’s the best film I’ve seen within certainly the last 10 years, if not longer, and there are very few criticisms I could make of it.

You see that a lot on posts over a couple of years old, so I think it’s just been a problem with an update, or slightly corrupt backup which might have been used one of the times we were hacked.
Matt is ok to play against as long as you get him wasted before hand
I’m up for that, and maybe some poker too 🙂

Is that BC2/Vietnam you mean? I had been playing FPS regularly in between bf versions, and even then I found it hard to adapt to BC2, and everyone seems to be the same. It doesn’t take long though, maybe 2 or 3 weeks, or seconds in Max’s case.
The ’42 league games were some of the most memorable experiences I’ve had online, great times indeed. Anyone remember the match on Iwo Jima, where in one round we had our carefully laid out tictacs torn to shreds in the first few minutes, and spent the entire game holding out on the hill with our backs right against the wall? With the lot of us in one spot, and actually coordinating with alternating flak gunners and AT’s versus anything dangerous they sent up the slope, we held out for the full round. Some great flying by Spunks and maybe also Digit as well, or at least while we held onto the airfield. Either before or after that game, we walked all over them assaulting the island to complete our most impressive win of the season 🙂
Another reason i think we should remove the base rape message in the server – it is almost meaningless in BFV
Almost, but not quite. On Phu Valley the uncap is pretty open and people can get up as far as the sandbags around the airbase on the US side, and shoot ppl as they spawn. Snipers can also gets shots and mortars on the spawn area here, on Hastings, and on the VC uncap in Vantage Point Conquest. Oh and of course Choppers can strafe spawns on Hastings and Phu Valley as well, although I quite like when they do 😈 It’s definitely not as much of an issue as in previous BF titles, but it does still exist.
Oh and btw, the server’s still full from last night! It dropped to 15 ppl around 7am, but has been above 20 ever since.
