ParticipantHere’s what I know about adverts:
When I see an advert of a tidy looking bird in a red swimsuit with massive jugs eating a bowl of Special K it does NOT make me want a bowl of Special K, it makes me want to have a wank.

ParticipantCome on – give EA some credit. It’s not going to take them 2 months, they’ll have the next BF game out by then (BF3127 – Piiiiiigs Iiiiiiiiin Spaaaaaaaaaaace! or some shite like that).

ParticipantBad news – Q1 2007 release for Armed Assault here in the UK. The publisher doesn’t look too great either. If you visit their website (505 publishing) it looks like it’s been put up by a 10 year old.
All of a sudden this has got potential disaster written all over it.

What’s the minimum spec for this lil beauty…?
It’s on the Unreal engine Milo, so if you can run UT2004 then you can run this. The heaping pile of crap that is Steam (which you need on your PC and is the reason why I don’t play RO anymore) will slow down your
PC more than the game itself.sickofitall
ParticipantJust can’t help it – even if he is trying to start World War 3 I laugh my arse off everyimte I see that bloke. Nobody has any right to look that much like his Team America puppet, “Fuck you Hans Bricks – I’m a very busy ma’!”

So this isnt Flashpoint 2 then? Is it a Flashpoint mod? Will you need flashpoint to run it (I have it)? If its not a Flashpoint mod, which game engine is it using? Anymore good links?
To all intents and purposes, it is Flashpoint 2. The company (Bohemia Interactive?) fell out with Codemasters who have the rights over the OFP name and so they’ve had to give this one a different title.
Not sure about the engine. Don’t quote me on this but I think it’s just using a massively souped up version of the OFP engine which can handle more bods and destructible scenery.
Who cares – they could release OFP again and I’d be bloody stupid enought to buy it! It would have to come with a free Action Man though, and a proper one at that with the eagle eyes and action man scar.

ParticipantI don’t know what you lot are on about half the time. Clearly, any sci-fi show that doesnt have a 3 foot robot on it that goes “bidibidibidibidi” just isn’t worth watching. I thought everyone knew that.

But unlike you whiners here I’ve actually done something about it and programmed my own video game (sort of) which takes the good aspects of each game and combines them to create an exciting and above all realistic combat simulation.
If it’s supposed to be realistic how come the cowboys are using yellow tracers then? It should be purple and you know it. Come on Neon, sort it out.

ParticipantBF1942 was one for the pilots but it wasn’t half as bad as BF2. Look at the most popular maps on BF2 – oh, no fucking planes. There’s a shock.

ParticipantThey’re in talks with a UK publisher by all accounts at the moment so hopefully they’ll be an announcement soon.
After OFP, which was probably the best PC game ever if you ask me (and let’s face it you should, but you don’t have to now cos I just told you)they’ll have to really go some to arse up Armed Assault. So looks like a fairly safe bet that this one will be worth getting. Famous last words.

ParticipantTalking of old horrors, they used to have these things called “video nasties” back when I was a lad. These were videos which were basically banned but you could get them from the bloke who came round in his clapped out old estate car full of videos – 7 for a fiver for the week. You had to scope the street out first though and ask him if he had anything really gruesome in a lowered voice but then he’d nod and reach for his glove compartment and you’d have to say “No, I don’t want to see that picture of your missus again you pillock, give us a video nasty”.
Anyhow, I watched the old video nasty “I Spit On Your Grave” again the other night and fucking hell it was shit.

ParticipantWell, I think you know what to expect with the BF series (good or bad) but my problem is that there other games coming out and pretty much the same time which I think look better. So no point me getting it because I won’t have time to play it.
Canis Canem Edit is out a week after BF2142 so if you’ve got a PS2 then you might want to look at that first before deciding where your money goes – if you liked the old Back 2 Skool games this could be right up your street. Looks good.
Plus if you are a footy fan then Pro Evo 6 is out on the same day.
Worth mentioning too for all the people here who enjoyed that nonsensical mongoliod bollocks that was Oblivion – you might want to look at Gothic 3. I think it’s out this Friday.

ParticipantYou can actually download this from Gamers Hell too, but it looks like it’s been fairly busy there.

ParticipantThe male is completely egocentric, trapped inside himself, incapable of empathizing or identifying with others, or love, friendship, affection of tenderness.
Eaten up with guilt, shame, fears and insecurities and obtaining, if he’s lucky, a barely perceptible physical feeling, the male is, nonetheless, obsessed with screwing; he’ll swim through a river of snot, wade nostril-deep through a mile of vomit, if he thinks there’ll be a friendly pussy awaiting him. He’ll screw a woman he despises, any snaggle-toothed hag, and furthermore, pay for the opportunity.
How does this Valerie Solanus bird know so much about me? I’ve never even met the woman.

ParticipantThat BBC story reminds me of when my mate Taff Jones was prosecuted for rape. Thankfully he got off as well. Cardiff Crown Court decided that she was showing far too much flesh and was definitely asking for it – regardless of the fact that it was actually the farmer that had sheared her in the first place.
