I have Sky BB and it’s somewhat erratic to say the least. There are days at a time when I can’t access secure sites and the speed is variable. Connection drops frequently.
I’m not impressed with it at all

I’m with BT and I have to say that for a year I haven’t had a single cause for complaint with my connection. It’s not a cheap service, but as Tess has found out over the last few years, with BB you get what you pay for.

TBH, i’d stay well clear of free BB providers, my old man got the talk talk package and to say it’s complete shite is too good for it, extremely erratic service and tech support is provided by trained chimps at £1 a minute.

I’m lucky to get cable, and i know a lot of people do have problems with it, but i’m getting my full 10Mb download more or less 24/7.

It’s defiately a case, as vic say’s, of you get what you pay for.

Steer clear of UK Online – I’ve been fighting on behalf of my mother-in-law since mid-December. I’ll bore you with the details later, but suffice it to say their connection service is rubbish.

Ordered in December. Order got “lost”. Reordered early Jan. Connection four weeks later. Didn’t work – crap tech support with crap answers. Finally got it working on Thursday this week, 7-8 weeks after first ordering…..

i’ve been with nildram for a fair few years now, was an early adopter of broadband and spent my first year with AOHELL and had nothing but issues with high pings in BF1942, turned out that AOL didn’t support “twitch games” (wtf) thus switched over to nildram after a year and its been great since……

I am with bt….. I would normally tell people that use there bb alot to stay clear……

But you can now get a unlimited line with bt now. Mine gets changed to the unlimited line tomorrow. When i first upgraded to the 8mg line i was loosing the adsl connection about every 30 mins. My connection has been very good for the last 6 months or more. So i hope that with this line upgrade it stays stable also.

Nildram for me as well, they mainly support business clients so there support is very good.

i’ve had NTL for 3+ years, overall i guess im about 90% happy. good speed/latency, stable..

When somethings wrong you usually gotta tell their support people what the problem is tho & insist they dont go thru their pointless scripts to diagnose it, JUST BLOODY FIX IT!!!!!!! 😆

With NTL/Virgin…whatever… used to be a bit shat (random disconnects etc..) but seemed to have upped their game recently… quite happy!

Stay clear of Tiscal pls gawd stay clear! Also, stay clear of Pipex who have been taken over by Tiscali.

I’m on Pipex at the moment hating every minute of my datastream product. Ahh yes, stay clear of ALL datastream products. Fixed connection is the way to go.

Agree with Tiscali. Just do a search in these forums for Tiscali and you will find many a rant about them on my part.
