ParticipantSo i read the book last weekend. I read it in 2 days. I could not put it down.
The book is very good but as its all about why Hannibal turned out like he did, i was hoping that they would never make it into a film.Only reason i say that is that i could not imagine an film about Hannibal without anthony Hopkins playing him. In this book they never could use him ether as its all about Hannibal’s upbringing and teenage years.
Then what did i see advertised last night. Next month on the 7th iirc Hannibal rising hits the cinema
Having said all that, if this film is true to the book (sadly they never are) its going to be awesome.

I know after reading the book i am going to be disappointed in the film, but i am still looking forward to it.

ParticipantI liked (the books) Silence of the lambs and Red Dragon, but was not so impressed with Hannibal – it was a bit too gory for me, it seemed to be bloodthirsty just for the sake of it, and not as much of a thriller as the other two. Do you think I’ll enjoy this book?

ParticipantTess, the book is the best by far, no gratuitous guts, more subtle

Participanthas someone of you seen this film already ?
In my opinion, the book is really really short (the moviescript was finished before the novel, as I heard).

ParticipantFilm is shat.
I watched the first 18 mins and they have missed out the first 3rd of the book.
The book is so much more in depth. You learn acctualy how he got to be a nutter, in the film you see next to nothing of it.

ParticipantRead the book this weekend ( my 1st Robert Harris ) and loved it, i was comtemplating watching the film, but i hate it when the film doesn’t do the book any justice and end up wishing i’d never seen the film.

Keep away from the flm. Honestly its pure shat. The book is a billion time better. The only one good thing about the film was that rhys ivans (sp twin town,) is in it and it was weird to hear him without a welsh accent
