Had to have my appendix out, it was perforated, had an abscess and was full of puss. Surprisingly not too painful at the time as the small intestine had moved across to cover it but bloody painful now as they had to cut me open to remove the organ!
Cheers guys,a few days down the line and I’m feeling a lot better.the drain was removed this morning though I still have the catheter in place and I’m not using the morphine nearly as much.I’ve managed to get out of bed a little easier today so all good so far.
I wish I could remember the terminology but in essence my small intestine moved from the left side over to the right to cover the appendix whilst at the same time the bowel on the right (I think….May be the intestine) also covered it, in effect doing it from releasing puss into me.
I just found that so incredible that the body can do as much as that in an effort to protect itself. It also makes me so envious of doctors for having their knowledge, something I would have loved to have had the brains to do.
I’ll be home next week sometime and have been told not to drive for at least two weeks or lift for at least 6 so guess I’ll be on BF4 a little more…..Well I need the physio 😉
LoL – you have done ‘the knowledge’ don’t worry – you are at least as smart as most of the doctors you will meet 🙂 Trust me!
Cheers guys, I’ll be ready for some gaming once I’m out which will hopefully be by about Wednesday if all goes well.
