Hey all, i’m planning on getting a new monitor for my birthday in a few weeks and wondered what you were all using.
I’m currently using a 19″ Samsung running at 1280×1024, i’m looking at getting a 23″ running 1920×1080 and am considering the ASUS VX239H:

There is also the MX239H:

but all that is different is the B+O speakers (not needed as I have standalones) and a slightly higher contrast ratio 300cd/m as opposed to 250cd/m (no idea if higher is better in this case) for which I don’t think it will make much difference regards gaming usage.
Is there any other monitors that you recommend? I’m not looking any bigger than 23″ as that is about the maximum I can fit on my desk and am not worried about higher res.

Im currently on Asus VE247H. And have been pretty pleased on this one since I got it. Though I should have gone to 27″ 😆 Couple of my friends have Asus monitors too and havent heard a bad word from them either. Id say go for it, it will definetly be better than your 19″ stamp.

I have the older version and have had it for 6 years now and its still one of the best monitor I have ever used. I realise its a bit bigger than you wanted but it is still worth a look

Brilliant monitor, full 1080p, nice IPS panel and looks cool too.
