XDC wild egg tamer
Participanthi all, bought myself a new “gaming” mouse today with the adjustable sensitivity etc. The problem I’ve got is not knowing what settings to have it on. I’ve tried setting it to the full cpi (counts per inch) which is 3200 and the polling rate to 1000hz and then adjusted the mouse sensitivity in game to get it move how I like it but i’m still getting stuttering. Do I have the cpi or polling rate too high? What settings are others using with these funky gaming mice?
It’s a steelseries kana in case anyone has actually heard of them/it.
cheers.

ParticipantDifferent people do it differently but I think it makes sense to have the highest DPI you can… then lower the in game sensitivity to make it playable.
Not sure what you mean by stuttering? If the mouse isnt reading your movments acurately then it may be your mouse pad? Have you bought a proper gaming pad?
My mouse has a special calibration mode for the surface you are using it on – does the Kana? If so use it.

ParticipantFunny enough, once I took it off the mouse mat and just used the desk surface it seemed to respond better!
I’ll have a mess about with various settings and I’m sure eventually find the ideal config to suit. There’s no calibration mode for the surface so just trial and error.

LOL – yeah – you know maxhax is lying. He probably has the PC jacked directly into his cerebellum to be as accurate as he is.
WET that sounds like a mouse mat issue.
You probably have one that looks like this…
You wanna get one more like this…

ParticipantIm running around with Razer Lachesis with these settings: DPI (varies alot ingame depending am I driving a tank or just fragging some as infantry) 1200-5600. Accerelaration set to max value of 10. Polling rate 1000mhz. And default settings on the windows side… 8)
Used to have Ultimat solid x3 as a mousepad but it was shait. Now im on steelseries 9HD. Which has allready lasted longer than that ultimat.
