The little voices have to be put abed

If you lot at work were wondering why I was grumpy today, it was not the hangover, it was the little voices that led to the hangover’s fault.

Last night the little voices started saying things like

1/1/B – “Ten Alpha Ten Alpha, One One Bravo message over”
10/A – “One One Bravo, Ten Alpha.. go”
1/1/B – “Ten Alpha, fire mission over”
10/A – “go”
1/1/B – “I got hobs of guhks in open, one..seven…niner..five Lima…..uh, you copy over”
10/A – “Copy…. uhh, one, seven niner five Lima over”
1/1/B – “Affirmative, uhhhh…one smokey over”
10/A – “Copy”
10/A – “Shot over”
1/1/B – “Ten Alpha uhhhh, drop one, uhhhh, West three, copy over”
10/A – “Errr, Copy One One Bravo, drop one, uhhh, West three over”
1/1/B – “Positief, copy”
10/A – “Copy”
10/A – “Shot over”
1/1/B – “Moerskont, onnit, fire fore effect, battery can you over”
10/A – “One one copy… uhhh give you fives of battery over”
1/1B – “Copy”
10/A – “In the air over”
1/1/B – “Copy”
1/1/B – “look at those fucker run, jeesus keerist they can move”
10/B – “Looking good?”
1/1/B – “Fucking paraat pal, keep it comming”

Thing is, these little voices were not in my dreams of the bush, they were in my head when my cab home was stuck because of a bunch of unwashed swampies, anti-everything protesters and general specimans of smelly fuckwittery as my can tried to get through past Whitehall.

So, having decided that wanting to bring 155mm arty down on my fellow men would not go down well for my career, I decided to drwon the liitle buggers instead, so when I got home I consumed a bottle of Macon Vinzelles “Le Clos de Grande-Pere”…… and another….. then attacked a bottle of Calvados.

By which stage the voices had all but subsided, with just a littke echo of “kill them all” remaining.

Then the missus booted me off to bed.

Still, it was a nice thought though 😈
