thinkin of gettin it on PC but dont wanna be burnt like i was with MW2 (no.. still not played it yet!…. latest Borderlands DLC is the best yet n keepin me busy! 8) ). The only games i really played online were the BF series (tried TF2 but, as Alzir will confirm, i was outta me depth and had no clue!…. also had a couple of games of Total Annihilation way back when!)…sooooooo does it play like BF****? Worth gettin etc.?…

The one review I read wasn’t that great – why was it so good?

I think because it was something a bit different…….. i.e. not a ‘war time’ fps. a lot was made of the 87 bazillion weapons in the game but most of em are junk TBH but its pretty cool when you drop on the odd cracker! I played as the Hunter so concentrated on sniper rifles n pistols, couldnt get on with the shotties n rocket launchers!

Also the way it looked, i thought, was good. Kinda cell shaded… but not (probably a better way of puttin it but i dont know!) and the humour in the game was great!
I think ppl called Borderlands a Role Playing Shooter, similar to Fallout 3 but its not as ‘FFS! do i HAVE to listen to all these people blabbing on? I just wanna go shoot someone with me new cool gun!’ as FO3.

It can get a bit samey samey and there seems to be too much ammo dotted about (dont think i ever ran out), but it kept me away from MW2, so it was doin summat right!
Not to everyones tastes but far and away the best game ive played for years.

Oh, and Cage the Elephants ‘aint no rest for the wicked’ is the ‘theme toon’! which is nice! 8) 8)

Bought it, installed it, aint played it!!!

Still playing Borderlands (SP) am halfway through the 2nd playthrough……love it!!

played for about 10 mins tonight on that noobs r us server, i had loadsa probs with PB but i think ive got it sorted now! alzir was pretty much leadin the way at the top and i was proping everyone else up!

I never was very good but, over 3 years absence, not remembering what key did what (i kept pressing shift to run, think i was still in Boarderlands mode!), not realising how to change the unlocked weapons and never playing the map before probably……. hmmm probably made no difference TBH, i was as good as i ever was!!

Will keep tryin tho!

Never played it before but ill give it a go! (Only really played BF stuff tho..)

Pretty well seeded atm..(over 100k/Bs, which is good for me!!) will seed til end of the month too.
