nice to see you both. I’m borrowing a shed load of cash (what pharty gets in interest in a week 😉 ) to have an extension built on my house and do some modernising.
Should there be anything left over i too may treat myself to a new PC for my 40th in November! Or if you lot want to club together and buy me one i won’t be offended or embarrassed 😀

i have not had a chance to play with any slrs that record vid as well.. other than drooling over the 5d mk2.. i really would like to get a hold of one of those.. but unless i win the lottery it is a no no 🙁
yup, you get the noise of the small motor as the camera focuses on any footage you take. Once focussed it’s fine. I generally try and set my focus before i start filming but it’s not always practical.
When i get time i’ll upload some footage taken with the camera and see if i can get the noise on it.
i have the canon eos 500D, takes good footage at 720/30fps and 1080/20fps. It does auto focus but is quite slow and a little noisy.
well the demo went ok but was marred by some over zealous policing with officers issuing tickets to cabbies for not wearing seatbelts; not being with thier vehicles when on a rank and for tooting their horn. One guy got pulled to the floor and arrested getting his wrist broken in the process.

Maybe Joe Public needs to get fired up enough to take it upon themselves to start taking action and not just depend on other bodies to do the fighting for them!
Sadly we have way too much apathy in this Country which is why we get treated the way we do in certain circumstances.

work is ok, a lot quieter obviously but still enough peeps out there at night with plenty disposable income to splash a bit on getting home safely.
I can work when i want but i’m doing quite a few extra hours in the current climate.
As for the Olympics, total waste of money, i wish that the French had been successful in their bid and we could have kept our cash for more important things…………….also cabbies won’t be allowed to use the VIP lane to get peeps there so that’s another good reason for me to boycott the fucking things!
