i was like this but after everytime i returned i was almost immediately bored each time i eventually unsubbed. i still follow some of the events and the goings on as its still the best MMO. i just cant dedicate that much time t playing. not that i mind as i have some brilliant memories from it and made some great friends
Yeah its been the same for me really. I still read the forums and dev blogs and get excited about the new changes and features though. They’ve just announced the winter expansion called Rubicon. No major features announced yet but there’s some interesting threads in features & ideas like this one. They’re also making interceptors immune to warp bubbles which should really shake things up.

ParticipantThe more I’ve played hardcore the more I’ve disliked it. Unless they completely rebalance every weapon for hardcore mode then I can’t see me liking it at all. Pistols become way too powerful and sniper rifles one hit kill with a chest shot from any range. As a sniper you’d think I’d like that but its just flat out broken and encourages very bad habits and sloppy aiming.
I had a go on the beta last night and it feels like they’ve adjust the bullet trajectory a bit. Couldn’t hit a thing with the stock sniper rifle but It could just be that I’m really rusty. The stock scope is a 6x with a 14x variable zoom that you toggle by hitting T. Its basically the optimal setup as far as I can tell and if they stick with that as default then I cant see myself ever needing to change to one of the later unlocks.

ParticipantExcellent thanks! I played a bit last night and was getting some massive FPS drops every so often. Anyone else noticed that?

ParticipantI’m still subbed to eve but hardly ever bother to log in any more. I should probably cancel that sub but I just cant bring myself to do it

ParticipantI bought premium for BF3 because it included all the expansions and was the same price or slightly less then buying them individually. All the extras were a nice bonus on top of that.
If BF4 premium is priced the same way and includes all expansions then i’ll buy it.

ParticipantI really didn’t like GTA4 and with BF4 round the corner I’m not rushing to buy more new games at the moment. I’ll probably get it at some point but might wait and get the PC version

ParticipantLOL

ParticipantWhat does the digital deluxe version come with? I’ve ordered mine from amazon for £30.99 which includes the china rising expansion. Pretty happy with that price!
Gary Goat
ParticipantLooking forward to it but I’m not sure about the sniper zeroing mechanic. I don’t think getting sniper headshots should be made any easier.
Gary Goat
ParticipantIt does look good! They’ve confirmed its coming to PC as well so that settles it 🙂

ParticipantHad it on pre order for a while. Prepare to be headshotted!

I’m trying to work out how these were done. I’m guessing black n white pics have been coloured and had pretty harsh sharpening filters applied to make them so crisp? Some of them look really good but others just seem a bit to unnatural. Either way its still pretty cool.
I dont think that is colour touch ups – way too detailed (happy to be proved wrong). You do realise they had colour photography then right? in fact it made great technological leaps in the war years.
Yeah they had colour photography and even colour video but it wasn’t to the quality shown in them pictures as far as I know? Some of them just don’t look quite right, especially on the skin tones but others look fine. Maybe they were from a film role that was found in an archive somewhere and developed with modern methods? After 70 years there’s no fading or signs of wear anywhere. They are just too pristine

ParticipantThe only real difference is that BT throttle p2p at peak time where as sky don’t. I think BT also have a faster up speed at 20mb/s but i haven’t looked into it for a while so not 100% on that.
I’m on skys standard broadband service and it is rock solid. Cant remember the last time i had a problem with it.

Participantdota 2 is £23 on steam at the moment but its for early access which is sort of like beta. Might be free to play when its released properly?
