Apart from that, build your own mate. If you could do it before you can do it now, it’s apparently easier nowadays anyway, so much so I can maybe even do it.
Andy expect a lot of questions about how to do stuff, as I want to make changes, but thanks for putting it back there for the time being 🙂
One thing I should know before taking it any further though, if we include php modules as we did a year ago, are they a potential security risk to our host, or just the site? And either way, how should we go about keeping backups?

that really does seem like a stupid question since you seem to have an uptodate sig already.
Have a look in user control panel, normally top right of your screen, possibly only from the main index page but not sure. From there, click profile, and then edit sig. To have a sig, first type the password “max is an idiot” in the white box, then whatever you want.
If you can’t see that, try chanting “max is a blind idiot”, and it should appear.
He does sadly, but I am of course well aware of the fact.
Thing is I want to do this, but beforehand I want to know what real support there is within our current ranks, and recruit accordingly.

I know that feeling. I had our website in the stone ages for years before Magicker came along 🙂 Think I did ok for no training though! Well maybe just ok 😉
I’d like a shout box type thing on the frontpage of the site but not sure how this particular one would fit in. There’s an issue of security as I think that’s how we were hacked last year, but I don’t really know or care a big lot (since we’re now on a neutral server). Keep looking though, php apps are what I’m on the look out for too, especially the kind that fit on a frontpage.
Has yours always been on 5 seconds gonzo? Last week I was playing late into a drunken night on your server and we all got stuck on well, despite my team domintating 👿 . I’m not exaggerating here, we played 5 solid hours, at least, before someone won a round (full server too), after that things got better and we reached the 4 win limit after another hour (even though I sat out quite a few rounds chatting with mates, I still got over 400 score, that’s how long it was). I thought it was instant spawn times, and I’m sure that (or at least quick spawning) was the cause of the problem. If you get a half decent team you’ll always have this problem with quick spawn times, so I agree with CH, lets increase ours a bit.

So it’s a problem with the hosts then? 1 month left on the contract I believe so might be a good time to complain.
I’ve tried to play on it, but first I’m not sure whether it shows up on the ingame browser and my efforts, so far, have been by myself anyway.
No matter the game, we tend to drift to other servers when we’re the first online, and this propogates. In TF2 for example, we can see when others join games or come online, and this helps fill the server, but can this be done with COD? We’re not quite there yet for fully supporting our own server in TF2, but tonight was a good example of us working well together for it (it was active from 6pm to 2am). Still that wouldn’t have happened had it not been for msn and steam. How do we work the same for COD is the question?
Although the most action goes on here in the forums I’d still prefer we had a website to go along with it all. I’m prepared to help with it’s setup, and I have a few ideas now it’s off your server and we can risk a few things.
Initially I’ll need some help though.
Like any server it needs at least two people on it to start it up. What’s wrong with a few 1v1’s before a night’s killing starts 🙂
It’s all about where we get the first two people though, what do we use? TS, MSN, XFIRE etc etc???

Defintateley though, our severs need action and we’re doing fuck all about it at the moment!! Come on!! :inspirational smilie:Part of this will definately involve helping our server become more active, and great effort tonight lads. I was only on early days before the football (fuck off insane) but we filled the server really quick tonight and it was going until 2am (I saw but wasn’t involved). I know it’s still the holiday season but lets keep it up, the more of us who can help the better.
