ParticipantArghhh – I had this problem magicker.
I think it is impossible? In the end I had to reinstall steam in the drive I wanted after clearing out the first.
Annoying -0 but you can transfer a lot of the files in a backup form – so saving some download time.

ParticipantI enjoyed watching a few of the x’s adventures in minecraft youtube videos… strangely compelling.
But I aint buying this game! I waste enough time already 😀
Having said that – not played a PC game for weeks – logged into steam a few times but nobody about 🙁

ParticipantThanks dude.
Not interested in SLI at all – but would be sweet to have water cooling…. hmmmm.
Only thing putting me off is I specced identical machines from PC specialist and overclockers and overclockers came out quite a bit dearer.

ParticipantCmon Andy we need more info than that!
Why is it good?
Are you worried that you might not get new android updates as quick as you would like because it has a proprietary front end?

ParticipantWell… in your training sessions for the paras I believe they are called ‘targets.’
The wires are going to be run behind the wall some point in the next few weeks… I din’t go to all the trouble of tunneling my surround sound cables through the floor just to leave that mess there!

ParticipantAm looking to upgrade myself…. was definitely thinking android… why you so keen on windows mobile?

ParticipantCool link – cheers.
Anyone seen a good link on airbrushing skills with GIMP? I have looked at a few youtube vids but they were shit.
Very impressed at the post processing they did on some of the pics.

How much is just a single totr gfx card alone when its released every 6 months? Over £350 .. You can get a 360 for £99 and have done for some time, cant get a cpu for that ha
Woah there… unfair.
Sure if you buy the latest GFX card release you will pay that… but I have been into PC gaming for years and never been that stupid.
Most game makers know that they need to cater to a market with less money than the elite overclocking fanboys…. I bought my PC over 3 years ago… spent about 150 quid on a GFX card last year… that’s it.
Offset against that… I don’t need to spend 40 quid whenever a new game comes out…
I get to use mouse / keyboard combo…
I get to play with wolf and Matt in TS rather than a bunch of teenage pricks… (OK – that is pushing it… Matt and wolf are pretty bad too.. but still probably better than those pre pubes.)
I actually get a CHOICE to upgrade. FFS – XBOX is frickin old technology. You wanna upgrade? You have to wait for its 6 year development cycle and then pay another full set up cost again.
Oh… and by having a moderately OK PC it lets me edit my home videos / do music stuff quickly as a bonus.
No contest sucker!

ParticipantSignal gave me some helpful pointers – listen to him.
My tuppence worth….
Yes you could run 4 lines direct from your router… not a very elegant solution though.
That switch is shit – if you are putting in cat5e cable you should get a gigabyte switch… upgrade to a gigabyte router if yours doesn’t support it.
If you did get that one – it has 8 jacks at the front – most likely just plug the router into any of the 8 and it then splits the signal to the other 7. Some routers have a dedicated input jack at the back though.
For TV if you are using Sky you should work out where your tv signal is going to come in to the house – then you use a signal splitter at that point. All your coax cables should come into that central point ready to take the signal as needed.

I use more of the PS3’s non gaming features than gaming – the streaming is totally ace, and since it plays Blue Ray, DVD (upscaler), USB, streaming, iplayer, freeview (with £20 add on), has an easily upgradeable HD (even I managed to install a 640GB drive!)… basically it is awesome for media.
Wow… it does all the basic things that my PC can do. Amazing!
