Should arrive tues/wed. Actually looking forward to 2nd part of hl2 as well… scant go wrong. just pissed off it still costs 13 quid after all this time.

Is anyone else up for this? I might actually be persuaded to put my han d in me pocket for orange box if people would play in this kind of game (which does sound interesting.)

DLC doesnt include community mods unfortunately, it does community games, where you can make you’re own and distribute and the £15 you saved, isnt really saved if you look at the cost of you’re PC etc, I saved around £900 when I bought the Xbox 😉
I dont think you have quite grasped what onlive does…. you don’t need to use any particular controller. You don’t need to buy their box… you could play it on any PC you own… but all the processing is done remotely so the specs of your machine are superfluous.
You could also easily play it through your HD TV – just have it hooked up to a basic PC / media centre.
It’s frickin amazing basically… only concern for me is it looks too good to be true…. you know the rest.

There is a great feature in custom PC about building a very good gaming rig for 500 quid. Think about how old the GFX card and CPU is in the XBOX and you can imagine how retrogade a step that would be. Plus all the other stuff you can do with the PC as well.
Thats before thinking of the controller issues!
BTW why CANT you use a mouse for gaming on the xbox? Surely that would be easy enough to do?
Ahh – answered my own question – there is a gizmo out there… dunno how good it is.
Arghhh! thought you were to sensible to get sucked into the apple rip off machine! I quite like the Nokia OS – but sure there aren’t anywhere near the number of aps.
Android would be the way to go – but the killer android phone that works with vodafone isn’t around yet so I am happy with the 5800 for now.

re contracts. I had a broadband contract with Toucan which had 6/12 to run. When I moved to an area that they couldn’t service they said i still had to pay the contract to the end!
I threatened to just cancel my DD…. but they said if I did they would be unlikley to pursue it in court… but would inform the credit rating agencies.
Thats the power they have of you – if you get a bad rating with equifax or experian it could cause all sorts of issues in the future.
