I dont know… the whole thing that sets him apart from your usual travel writers is the fact that he goes to the crap bits that other people ignore. The stuff he tells us about milton keynes for example is so true… yet no one else bothers to go there on holiday do they?

He has some very perceptive insights into the British character I reckon – its true what he says about how polite and friendly we are compared to other societies… but are too unasuming to shout about our good points. I loved how he points out that Britush people are so happy with little things in life… a nice cup of tea or a scone make a dreary day at the seaside seem like a good day out to Brits… you wont find that in the states or continental Europe.

Worth a read… but not for laugh out loud humour.

Just finished last night (on hard difficulty)

Very good story – few unexpected twists and turns… better than some books I’ve read lately. I didnt really like the way the story unfolded through the dictaphone diaries though… I can see why they used that particular plot device… but surely theres a more elegant solution to explaining back story to players?

Need to get me COD 4 now 🙂

For something under 30 quid that is good for a laugh on christmas day I would still recommend those cool little pico z choppers. Id still play with mine if I hadn’t mangled the rear rotor one too many times. 😀

Hmmmm – maybe Im confused m8 – I got a copy of PC gamer few days ago and havent read it yet – but thought this was the game on the front cover?

If it was (it definately had hell in the title) then it only gets 67%

Ill check when i get home.

    PC gamer gave it 73%

    Yup – thats the one.

73% doesent sound too good to me… but if you like the format of it then it could be worth a look.

No point reading it – I know what happens to him at the end.

Lol – I was going to make a similar joke but thought I should let sleeping dogs lie you bastard 😀

It is true that he does eventually die I guess…. but since this happened about 2000 years ago that aint too surprising 😀

2nd book ends about the time of the spartacus slave rebellion… still plenty of adventure left before he cops it.

i hear you insane – but it gets 95% / 10/10 in the mags… must have something going for it?

TBH I was most interested in its interpretation of ayn rands political philosophy… Id buy a game just for a good story that makes you think regardless of how good the shooty shooty action is.

If I had known it had this god awful copy protection on it I would have thought twice though.

Its always the same… the freeloading pirates always get through the protection – but the people who buy the game (like me) get screwed over by the stupid security systems.

ffs wipers = I didn’t call u any of those names! its you who’s taking things personally. I hate the sin but love the sinner 🙂

I think your argument is fundamentally flawed (for a start I didn’t know the ending of moby dick till I read it 6 months ago and I’m 30 and well educated) but I am going to make a tactical retreat here and at least apologise for inadvertantly causing offence.

I wouldn’t dream of comparing you to legit… just wanted to shine a light on this one very legit like action… but maybe I should have worded it better.

    big hugs?
