“Today kids we’re going to try and answer the question why was Hitler such a cunt. Put yr hand’s up… Yes, that’s right Jimmy he was a mass murdering fuck-head… sorry what was that Lydia… well done he did have the strategic insight of a myopic goat with dyslexia… excellent point Kieran he was a vegetarian… I’m not sure he actually did have one ball Sally but I like your thinking.”

    Obviously I’m paraphrasing a little bit here…

No mate. Handed in my guns and badge a few years back. I’m a History Teacher, dad and scuba-diving instructor these days…. times change eh?

Is anybody playing this these days… being an OFP devotee and seeing this is done by Bis I’m thinking it’s worth a punt?

Is TF2 still a bit of a frag fest Boss? The old TF was just too fast for me…

Brace yrself XDC chums I is definitely back… I ordered a power machine yesterday. As I can no longer afford to go out as I have to pay so much to my daughters Mum it makes sense. In two weeks time it arrives… YAY!

So what are all the PC XDC’ers playing at the moment?

Secondly, it,s been 5 (count ’em years) out of the gaming loop… what have been the must play games I’ve missed out on in those years… help me catch up.

I just tried out the demo on a mates Xbox…

After the initial confusion around controls and roles I rather like it…

I missed BF2 so a lot of the stuff that stood out to me may be old hat but the squad system works reasonably well and it’s nice to see that medics and engineers get rewarded for doing what they’re supposed to do…

    Encouraging start…

I’ve missed SOIA’s shared cinematic expression since I’ve been away.

Avatar is the first film I’ve seen which is simultaneously eye-popping but mind-numbing. I’m not going to repeat the Dances with Smurfs gag… er.

Save your cash and go and see “The Road” or better yet rent “Let the Right One In”

Well, as SWMBO doesn’t want to be SWMBO I am looking for alternative accomodation. I also have a baby daughter to support (yes, me a dad!) the chances of any social life are virtually nil so a new PC is the order of the day…

My last one (yes the one that was used for BF back in the day) is still going. I’m thinking of sticking with MESH as it has been virtually bullet-proof the last 8 years.

    So peeps recommend Bad Company?

Any decent WW2 games in the old BF stylee – mods etc.?

    Modern Snore-Fare!!

Looks great, sounds great, but just the “same-old, same-old” UT style frag-fest… gut-wrenchingly disappointed…. so there

Some interesting stuff. But as a front-line teacher in an inner city school some of the education stuff is quite alarming.
