Hello all,
I was sitting at my PC looking back on my clan days and remembered a great deal of good times I had with a really cool clan, and wondered if you were still around. I’m pleased to see you are. ^_^
Maybe you remember me, maybe not, but I was one of your pilots for BF1942. Just wanted to come and send you my greetings and wish you all the best. Hope it’s all going well in game-land for you guys, I see the roster contains loads of names I remember. So hi to you all! o/
I’m in Australia now, btw, so my ping times are rather sad. *sulks*
Cheers!

August 4, 2007 at 10:54 am #55924XDC wild egg tamerParticipantbloody hell!!! hello mate, are you still in touch with tresor ?
Its nice to see an old name stick his head around the corner, hows life been treating you these last 4 years or so ? Have you been keeping up with the BF series? perhaps you should try the server and see how good/bad playing from Oz really is…..i’m sure judgemental plays from time to time and he’s in NZ!
For those not in the know, digit was an awesome pilot in the days of 42, no one and i mean no one was safe when this guy was in the air…truly the madmax of the skies.
One last thing mate, get the damn tags on, you should know you never leave XDC you just take extended leave 😉
August 4, 2007 at 11:43 am #55925XDC-snellParticipantI seem to be back in 2002 ! for some reason 🙄

greetings m8
glad you dropped in – grab a game and get on the server.. EOD2 for BF2 on sundays.. hint hintAugust 4, 2007 at 12:14 pm #55928DigitParticipantYay! 🙂
Wow, I totally can’t believe you guys are all still here. Please tell me you don’t still play BF1942… please? 😉 Ok wait, too many replies ->
See, I remember why I liked this place so much. I just looked at Snell’s signature about the match, and that made me crack up. Also I like n0m’s about the north railyard. Why do people get so lost on that map? 😉
Ah MADMAX, I miss tank lessons from you. It was more like an excercise in futility if I recall rightly, but still enjoyable on Tobruk (was that the map name? Oh, so long ago).
I really enjoy Red Orchestra, a friend and I used to play it together a lot, and lock down points, him as assault and me as a sniper/machine gunner. Ah, good times. But yeah, I’m not sure about the ping here.
Can I just take a moment to rant about Australian internet. Not only is it pretty bad in terms of speed and how developers think you are fine playing on US/European servers, unless you pay quite a bit per month… but, and this kills me, they cap it! That’s right, after hitting a certain amount of bandwidth, they throttle your net connection back to dial-up speeds. *headdesk*
That’s almost as bad as Germany, where they have implimented a special technology called Fastpath. With normal internet your ping could (not always) be up to 300ms. But with FASTPATH *rays of light shining down on it* it will always be 16-20ms.
I miss just getting the net and having it, without any strings attached. >_>
So wait, Judgemental is in NZ? Really? Wow… why is it that both the EA people have migrated waaaaay south heh. Hah, Wild Egg Tamer, my wife laughed when she saw your name. Oh yeah, I’m married btw. 😉
Ok I need to run for the moment, but I would dig catching up with you guys on Vent/TS sometime. I’ll check back tomorrow, any games you would reccommend btw?
Cheers!

errr….
Anyway, great to hear from you – im sure if you do a search on your name you will come up with some posts on “where the fuck is…” We never forget!
August 4, 2007 at 12:46 pm #55930Captain_ChronicParticipantNice to see you back 😀
August 4, 2007 at 12:57 pm #55931XDC wild egg tamerParticipanthehe, glad to see my name still raises a giggle now and then 🙂 I’m one of the few who still play 42 from time to time, been trying to hone my flying skills on the battle of Britain map in readiness for FH2……………..now don’t laugh so loud, i’m sure its gonna be released at some point….ah your laughing at me honing my flying skills, well can’t blame you to be honest, they’re still as awful as they ever were 😉
August 4, 2007 at 1:55 pm #55932XDCsPUNKerParticipantNothing wrong with the occasional spurt of nostalgia (and I dont mean tugging yourself off remembering an ex girlfriend)
Good to hear from you digit. Hope all is well. Still have the force feedback joystick lurking about somewhere 😉August 4, 2007 at 3:50 pm #55933MugworthParticipantHeh, Well I still play Bf1942!
